Fall 2012 Share Sign-ups are here!

New and old shareholders, it’s time to sign up for your Fall 2012 Share! Get your share of fresh, organic veggies for next fall within the last month of school and have something great to look forward to!

For those who are new to the Morningside Heights CSA, here are the details:

We are a group of Columbia and Barnard students who work with a local organic farm to provide fresh, organic and affordable vegetables to the university community on a weekly basis. The CSA works by its members—that’s you!—buying a share of the vegetables for the fall. That means that you pay up front in the spring or summer and invest capital in the farm to grow food for the fall. Then, when autumn rolls around, you will get a weekly share of everything the farm grows delivered right to Columbia! How sweet (and delicious) is that?

To get a share, the cost for FALL 2012 is $200 for 10 weeks of fresh veggies. One share is designed to provide enough produce for two vegan/vegetarians to four omnivores. Veggies are delivered to Columbia University once a week for pickup (location and date/time to be announced soon)

We will be having sign-up tables at a few events over the next few weeks. Come sign-up and ask questions about the program! We’d love to talk to you about getting you set up with a share for the fall.

Our first sign-up event is at the Earth Day Lunch at Pupin Plaza from 10am-3pm on Sunday, April 22.

See you there! And check out pictures from last year’s share to get excited for all the wonderful veggies!
